INSURANCE DISCLAIMER

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. This is because the majority of insurance companies will not contract with a home birth midwife, and if they do, they will usually cover around half the cost of services. Even when a provider is contracted with an insurance company, it can still be quite a hassle to get reimbursed for services.
This is why most home birth midwives do not accept insurance. If you are currently insured with medical benefits, we will give you an itemized bill to file with your insurance company(at the end of your care) for reimbursement. They are much more likely to pay you, rather than us. We would still require the full cost of services to be paid, and you would be getting reimbursed via insurance after your care is complete (6 weeks postpartum).
Insurance can help pay for things that are not included in midwifery care, like lab and ultrasound costs. We are able to bill your insurance for things like this to help make it free to low cost for you.
1
Full Midwifery Care Including Home Birth $7,200
Services are $7,200 for full midwifery care including prenatal visits, birth in your own home, and postpartum care. You will have full 24/7 access to the midwife via phone and messaging. You will receive education on exercise and nutrition, prenatal information, labor and birth preparation, breastfeeding and postpartum care. $1,500 down is required at time of sign up, if paid in full by the second visit a $500 discount will be applied. Things to keep in mind when investing in a midwife is that the average cost of a vaginal delivery in a hospital is 20K(without insurance) and 30-50K for a cesarean.

Birth Tub Rentals are available at $250
This includes set up, a clean new tub liner($50), cleaning/draining after delivery, and same day removal.
2
Prenatal and Postpartum Care ONLY $4,500
For low risk mothers who seek hospital birth, but prefer to labor and deliver in the hospital. The total for this service is $4500. This would not apply to mothers with high risk complications like twins, gestational diabetes, or other preexisting conditions.
4
Placenta Encapsulation $250
This is a great service for mothers who want extra nourishment postpartum who are wanting to reduce the risk of baby blues and postpartum depression. Typically the turn around time from taking your placenta to returning your pills to you - is within 72 hours. Although there is not much research on placental consumption, it is proven to contain hormones, mostly progesterone. The pills made from your placenta can help to wean you off these high hormone levels slowly.
